An extremely rare and highly important St. Cloud teapot and cover, of shouldered baluster form, the shoulder and base moulded with gadrooning, the spout and the thumbpiece of the scrolled handle formed as a bird’s head, the middle of the teapot decorated in underglaze blue with a formal lambrequin design, the domed cover with similar design.
