An extremely rare St. Cloud Model of a Goat, the naturalistically modelled goat with long flowing hair`and climbing across a rockwork base which supports the nimble animal.


An incredibly rare series of early French soft paste animals all dating to circa 1730. A pair of deer are recorded at the Palazzo Reale de Turin together with a pair of chickens. A further pair of chickens in the Metropolitan Museum New York. Two Eagles in a private French collection and a Horse in the Art Institute Chicago. A coloured seated cat in the Gardiner Museum Toronto and a further cat and a rabbit with Christophe Perles. A Fox and the only other example of a Goat similar to this model in a private collection in France.
