A very rare pair of Meissen Duck Butter Boxes and Covers, modelled by J. J Kaendler, the highly naturalistic forms with their wings forming the covers and a chick resting on their backs forms the finials.
Marks: Crossed swords marks in underglaze blue to the reverse edge of groups. One incised 46 the other impressed 46
