A Rare Chelsea Triple Scent Bottle and Stoppers in the Form of a Hen and Chicks, the group are modelled standing on a mound painted with flowers and a gilt-dental border while one chick is perched upon a painted tree stump and another under the hen pecking the ground. A large floral spray is painted on the underside. The hen and chicks’ plumage are painted in variegated hues of puce, brown, and yellow. Their three detachable heads, gilt-mounted with chains, serve as three separate stoppers. Their painted beaks are closed, black eyes open, outlined in iron-red with comb and wattles further enhanced by iron-red colour.
