A Fine and Very Rare Saint Cloud Gilt-Metal Mounted Snuff Box and Cover in the Form of a Reclining Shepherdess wearing a mob-cap, long tunic, and flowing skirt with a blue painted sash edged in gilt across her chest. She rests on her side with her head propped against her left hand upon a grassy mound painted with kakiemon-style flowers. A painted insect rests on the back of her right shoulder. A yellow painted crook with blue enamelled ferrule and spotted dog lies next to her.
The cover is further decorated with kakiemon-style flowers.
