A very rare Northern European Fayence Turkey Cock Tureen and Cover, probably German, the seated bird with beautifully modelled plumage coloured in ‘grand feu’ colours of iron red and manganese, the tail fanned out, the cover formed as the top of the back and a Turkey Chick as the finial.
Similar models were made at Hochst and Fulda.
