A very rare early First Period Dr. Wall Worcester Saucer Dish, pencilled delicately with a chinamen holding a parasol and a parott within a garden with a juniper tree to the right , and a table together with a vase and flowers on the left, within a lambrequin border composed of scrolls, lozenges and diaper.

 

Provenance: Anthony Tuke and Sir Anthony Tuke collections, acquired from Stoner and Evans.

 

Exhibited: English Ceramic Circle 1948 Exhibition no. 415

 

Marks:

Painter's numeral of crossed arrows and annulet mark in black to the underside.

 

Diameter: 6 3/4 ins. (17 cms.
