An extremely rare Barr Flight and Barr Twin Handled Vase, Circa 1805-1813
An extremely rare Barr Flight and Barr Worcester Twin Handled Vase, the grecian ogival paneled form raised up on a gilded square base and turned marblised socle, the subject panel showing a shepherd pointing the way in an elaborate Arcadian wooded landscape with hills and valleys and a lake in the background, framed on either side with an ancient oak tree, within thick gold bands the reverse with a dark marblised border matching the neck and socle, on a lighter pale grey marbled ground. The twin gilded handles modelled as dolphins.
