    Brian Haughton started his business in 1964 and then together with his wife Anna went on to found and organise the legendary International Ceramics Fair and Seminar in 1982, which continued as Art Antiques London from 2011.  In 1989 Brian and Anna founded the International Fine Art and Antiques Dealers Show (The International Show) in New York at the Park Avenue Armory. This event brought Vetting by International specialists to America for the very first time. The following Fairs were also founded and organised by Brian and Anna Haughton:

    • The International Silver and Jewellery Fair and Seminar- London 1985.
    • The International Fine Art Fair-New York 1994.
    • The International Asian Art Fair-New York 1996.
    • The International Art + Design Fair-New York 1999.
    • Art Antiques Design Dubai 2008.

     In 2008 they inaugurated ‘Art Antiques Design Dubai’ one of the first Fine and Decorative Art Shows to take place in the United Arab Emirates.

     For 43 years he has organised Lecture Programmes at The International Ceramics Fair & Seminar, Art Antiques London and The International Show in New York, inviting some of the most celebrated personalities/curators to lecture at these important International Forums. He also introduced the ‘Face to Face’ series, where each year Professor Dame Rosalind Savill DBE, FBA, FSA, Former Director of The Wallace Collection, London interviewed a guest VIP connected to the Art World.

     The Haughton tradition of education still continues with a seminar which takes place each June. See haughton.com for details of the 2025 seminar entitled ‘“Treasures: Creation, Emulation & Imitation”.  Brian is a founder member and Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Art Scholars and a Freeman of the City of London. He is also a member of the Athenaeum and has served on both the General Committee and the Works of Arts Committee.

    Paul Crane

    Paul trained at Christie’s and then became a specialist in the European Ceramics Department at Phillips Auctioneers, Bond Street, then joined The Brian Haughton Gallery in 2001. He is a descendant of Dr. Wall who founded the Worcester Porcelain Manufactory 1751 and presently sits as a Trustee of the Museum of Royal Worcester, formerly the Dyson Perrins Museum. Paul is a member of various Fine Art Fair Vetting committees and lectures at International forums on Ceramics and to related societies and educational bodies. He was a speaker at the Rococo Symposium held at the Victoria and Albert Museum in November 2013. He is involved in original Ceramic research for the English Ceramics Circle and his work is published within the field of Eighteenth Century English Ceramics. He is also an independent historian and researcher and a member of the Worshipful Company of Art Scholars.
